Is the CD player era finished?

I tried to connect my DVD player to the receiver with the coaxial digital cable. The sound quality is almost double and i think I will stay with this set-up for a while. I am very impressed by the sound. Now i really feel proud of my &quot;tools&quot; &nbsp;

So glad you get better sound quality. &nbsp; &nbsp;I've noticed that Yahama's receivers did better job (generally) in DAC and amplification part. &nbsp; My 1400 shines!
