Also any reputable pawn shop will have a pair of speakers on hand that you can hook up to test the receiver out on. Actually the best deal I ever got at a pawn shop was I walked in about a year ago and they had three AR Phantom 8.2 speakers that retailed new for 1,250/pair, I got the pair and center for 75.00 Then a few months ago I walked back into the same pawn shop and they had another 3 AR Phnatom set for sale (this time the larger center and surround 6.2 speakers got those for 75.00 also. A buddy at S&Vision sent me a pair of AR 8.2 and stands for free, so I now have a 7.1 setup that retailed for well over 4,000 for 150.00 in my master bedroom, so I can vouche if you are patient and look around you can find some great deals.
A buddy at S&V who lives in aother state found a missing remote for my Denon 4802 that retailed for 400.00 replacement cost in a pawn shop and mailed it to me for what it cost him. $5.00
