You cannot go wrong with the cables from monoprice.com. I think you will like their prices :)
Depending on the speaker cable runs, 14ga or even 16ga will do you well. Cables are way over hyped in audio circles, some circles that is:D
...a never ending circle at that. I just wonder where in the circle did it begin!

All this time I've been using straightened coat hangers insulated with hockey tape.

Carefully straightened.

I was going to purchace from monoprice but all of their speaker wire is not in stock at this time. I think the 12 AWG speaker wire is coming in the 25th of December.... but im not positive.

Blue Jeans Cable seems good.... however, the price cannot match those of monoprice.
As far as patch cables are concerned(used to connect source components regardless of type)Bluejeans are great. Forget the name. They could be called Cable Inc. or whatever. The quality of materials used and the way they are put together is what counts.

Thanks for all your posts guys. To clear a few things up

I currently use a Pioneer VSX-816K as receiver
It powers 5 BIC Acoustech speakers along w/ SUB (799.99) http://www.acousticsounddesign.com/core/view_BigProduct.cfm?pid=1061&sc=32&t=226

So, I checked out home depot a few days ago and noticed they sell their speaker wires on a large spool. Nothing flashy about their wire unlike the large and colorful MONSTER speaker wire, but the price of the speaker wire at home depot are certanly better than compared to MONSTER.

For those of you who have tried out or heard how the home depot speaker wire performed, please let me know. Im looking for 14AWG and a total of 100FT of speaker wire.

Thanks!

Wow lightscribe, you're system is awfully similar to Ventwood0's.

If you're not going to go away, at least post your stupid never ending threads in the right forum.

Hey man, no worries, just some people get upset if you don't do your research. Some people get more upset than others :) Do us a favor and read this article. It will answer your questions about Monster and Home Depot speaker wire as well. There is a table at the end that give you all the answers on "what is best" from a pure scientific perspective. Plus the article does not get upset with you if you ask too many questions ;)

Yes, they will perform very well to wires of the same or similar gauge. :D
Nothing to listen for. If the visual aspect is acceptable, go for it. Or, even their low voltage landscape cables will work well.

I am afraid to admit this... but as far as speaker wire terminators go, I cant seem to get quality ones, except from Monster. I hate this company and dont want to buy anything from them... Except I cant get anything that will attach my speakers & receiver to the wire. And I aint using bare wire (PITA).
