Is MONSTER really worth it?

I use ************ for my speaker cable. As I upgrade replace interconnects, I've used Dayton Audio. They are reasonably price and seem to perform well. For different applications (Subwoofer vs component video) the cable specifics will need to change. Keep that in mind.

Im noticing many employees recomending me to go for the monster brand...... they all say its "the best of the best" "top of the line" "you cant go wrong"
best?! top of the line?! have thay never heard of AubioQuest or Kimber? :p

but, as far as affordable ICs I would chose AR, fairly well made cables, avilable most places, and very reasonable prices; yes I know Bluejeans is the king, but you can find AR online for under $10.

I hate AudioQuest cables. I have a sub cable from them and it is not user friendly. It doesn't bend like a normal cable, it is just a pain in the crack to hide because it is so stiff.

By the way this is my 666th post, ew.

Agreed, AR is decently made stuff.

I also really like my friends Heartland Cables interconnects. They weren't expensive, but they're nice looking and well made.

yah, AQ's are pritty stiff, but mine are behind the cabnet, so it dose'nt bother me. And you can impress "wine and cheese" audiophiles with AQ. :D

Im out shoppigng for a lot of wires such as fiber optic cables, s-video, speaker wire, etc. Im noticing many employees recomending me to go for the monster brand...... they all say its "the best of the best" "top of the line" "you cant go wrong"

is it really that good? i own a few monster composite cables and there alright, but nothing really impressive.
join the rooked masses into beleiveing that cables affect the sound so much that people can actually hear the difference. Thats all a bunch of steamin BS.
If money is important to you, buy some quality stuff sold at Radio Shack, (even phillips stuff is sold at Walmart) and stay the hell away from all the snake oil hype about isoteric cabling.

Could you guys recomend me a few brand name cables to look out for? I heard AR is fairly good. Monster cable certanly looks the thickest and most insulated out of the bunch.... but im not really a cable expert.
Try these: For IC's and speaker, Zebra Cables, I have first hand experience with both and they are top notch for the money.

Actually I was wondering what speakers, as the resolution power of them will determine if cable differences would be audible.

I'll throw another wire out there, Rat Shack 16ga flat copper, surprisingly good for the money.

No.5 I use Anti's on the MR/T's of my Ap's, great cable...... err wire. :p

Wow! You know your stuff!

Can you point me to a chart of Resolution Power per speaker, and a corresponding Resolving Ability per cable, please?

I'd like to make sure the Resolution Power of my speaker is being adequately taken advantage of by the Resolving Power of my cables.

Thanks!

I've started to use dental floss as speaker wire the resolution is amazing and it keeps my teeth pearly white, especially after the wine and cheese audiophiles leave my house;) .
