Is it worth it to repair this TV?

Yes, OLED is a huge upgrade over LED, although I have only seen LED TVs elsewhere. I have never owned one. I have only ever had Plasma or OLED. Prior to that it was CRT!
Before OLEDs they're all LCDs.

So far so good with the new OLED. Really nice picture. BB's $400 price drop, and price match makes it even better. I noticed it does struggle just a bit with detail in bright scenes viewing HDR content, but I can live with that. I would definitly value some input on this question though, and it's about image retention. I used to leave this screen up all the time when listening to music on the prior LED TV. I'm assuming this would be a bad idea now? I'm thinking about just pull up a screen saver?

Yes, you definitely want screen saver and for sports with a fixed banner, pixel shift. Image retention is more common than true "OLED burn in", but I wouldn't leave bright fixed images onscreen for no reason.

Having come from a plasma with burn in "concerns" that never developed even with fairly long periods of static logos and such....I just don't tempt my OLED on the other hand, just not a way I generally consume content in any case.

Thanks for the feedback, noted. I have to change my habits.

Yeah, I think you hit the nail on the head, don't tempt it.
