Okay,
I have been looking for a remote/dock for my ipod to hook it up to my receiver. I looked around and saw that Onkyo had one, but I have a Yamaha receiver so that would not work. Anyway, I went out and bought a Belkin connector to hook my iPod up to my receiver, but I wanted to get a remote so that I could switch songs and change the volume through the iPod if I wanted to.
I bought a brand new iJet remote off of eBay for $26.00 (free shipping). If anyone is looking for an iPod remote, this is the one to get. It comes with an adapter to hook your iPod to your receiver and it also comes with a nice little belt clip for the small remote (it is small enough that I can clip it onto my pocket and it doesn't show at all when my shirt hangs over it.
First off, this is an amazing remote. I went to my office and had the remote hooked up to the ipod in the living room and the remote quickly and easily changes songs, pauses, changes volume, plays, etc. I even walked all the way to the edge of my backyard (I have about a 60' long backyard) and used the remote to turn the volume up to see if I could hear my system at the very back of my yard and the remote even transmitted that far!!!!! I am going to be using the remote when I have my ipod stored in my backpack so that I do not have to mess with clipping my ipod to my belt or something.
This is an amazing remote (it is the iJet, just google it). It is much better than the Griffin brand one (my friend has one) and it is cheaper.
