I've been using free AVR Remote app to control my Denon AVP/AVR on my Androids.

I also have a Panasonic BD app.

I use LogMeIn to remotely control all my HTPCs.

I use free Unified Remote to turn my Android into wireless keyboard for my HTPC.

I use free Radio Thermostat app to remotely control my thermostat.

Would love to have my iPad control everything in my system.

I bought a Vizio tablet with an infrared transmitter and a remote control app. I was able to set it up to control all of my components satisfactorily except for my projector. The projector has separate on and off switches and I couldn't figure out a workaround to shut it off. I called Vizio and they were unable to offer a solution. I returned the tablet.

I use the "Harmony Link" app along with the Harmony Blaster to control my system and love it!
