Inwalls for large room

Looking to expand distributed audio for a friend to the living room. The construction of the house allows for one side of the room to have a pair of inwall speakers (the other walls are exterior concrete, can't get wires there, etc).

Music is listened to at a pretty loud volume, and without a subwoofer in the room, some low end extension would be nice.

Any recommendations? I'm at a bit of a loss, so many speaker manufacturers lol. Had good luck with the Axiom inwalls in another installation (not sure how I get sucked into these hehe)... maybe the M22 would be good?

Budget is between 500-2,000 for the pair. Any thoughts?

If you want in walls that can be cranked up without getting muddy or harsh and that can handle some power I would contact John over at Source Tech. That budget should net him some great speakers.

Yeah, I'd rather buy from a larger company. I'm normally a big supporter of smaller businesses, but, for something going in the wall - I want a company company hehe.

Source Technology is a company company. Their main source of business is OEM work for other companies though. I can't say which one's obviously, but they make some speakers for a few big companies and John's own line of Source Technology is pretty well known through his B&M distributors. They're not as big as B&W and KEF, but they're not a small business either.

They're interesting! I might try a pair of their bookshelves for myself, then once comfortable recommend. (I'm a bookshelf speaker/monitor maniac)

But, I want to stick with a larger company for this... it's in wall lol. Ideally a closed back design that doesn't require drywall work.

Triad has become a favorite for in walls, but, this application has to be closer to Axioms 'cut and put in the hole' approach, versus drywall work.
