Now this is a movie that actually moved me. I would suggest everyone see this one. This guy had a pretty amazing life story. Sean Penn did a great job directing and the soundtrack was incredible as well.....Anyone seen this one?

Yeah Jamie I seen it. Thought it was a good movie. Really liked the old man that tried to help. The ending was sad given he ate some poisonous mushrooms. Lots of good scenery. I am glad I got to see it.

I kind of wish I had the courage to do something like that. Except for the early death part.

Yes, that is a small detail that sort of ruins it unless you are already familiar with the story.

I just watched this for the first time, from Netflix on BD. I was blown away. My expectations were tempered because the opinions on this film seem to be pretty polarized. Count me among the fans.

The folks who didn't like it often seem to say that the fella was just plain stupid. Sure, the argument flies, but I think there's a lot to learn from him.

Kudos to Sean Penn for a fantastic movie.

Finally saw this a couple of nights ago. My wife thought it was a downer (especially after we also just watched The Changeling). I thought the movie was terrific, and I think Ed sounds incredible throughout the movie. I really think this movie is one of those that can help keep your head in the right place (or get it there in the first place).

I don't need to watch movies anymore now that I have Phil to tell me and the whole world how they end. It's really freed up a huge block of free time for me.

J/K I have always liked knowing the ending. I haven't seen this but will Netflix it and I couldn't pass on the chance to bust Phil's balls.

Yeah, I got the HD DVD version of that one. Moving story, for sure. I like the music.

I watched the Bluray version last week from Netflix.
Excellent picture quality and still a very moving story.

That is a good movie. I don't know how accurate a representation of the facts it is, but it is a good movie qua movie.
