A lot of these functions should already be on your display IMO.
Only if all your sources have separate video and audio connectors. If any video is going through your processor and being merged

This especially matters for the difference between Analog and Digital sources. If analog sources are being sent through HDMI to the TV then there will

1) Be some level of processing done at the ADC section.
2) Be incorrect TV calibration as it is likely calibrated for blu rays not analog TV for the HDMI input.

I understand what stated, but again, any half way decent or upper tier display will have either multiple inputs or multiple memories per input. All my PJ's have multiple memory settings so when I change from one source to another, it automatically switches to the logged calibrated memory setting.

Even so, the Onkyo units have all of the important basics of video calibration controls and the ability to tweak grayscale/gamma for those using displays that don't where the picture will calibrate very accuratly still. Sure the Anthem has an option or 2 that goes a bit more in depth on those settings, but is splitting hairs on what is most likely an old legacy source really worth $3k or more expense? And to add,is it really worth it at the expense of less audio options/calibration abilities(And SQ in some respects on S/N and channel crosstalk) compared to the Onkyo/Inegra unit?
To some people it definetly won't be. Me being one of them, I ended up taking the thousands of dollars saved and bought equipment that would enhance my setup in a much more practical way.
Others though may and do feel differently for one reason or another. I understand and totally respect that as well. I'm just trying to lay some real world perspective down(in a what you get per dollar spent way) on the equipment at hand after selling and installing this gear for years.
