hello everyone! i am new to the forums, and somewhat new home theater surround sound. i inherited an older b&w surround system from a friend who pretty much let them sit and has a family and can't use them. i know back in there day they were top of the line, and still to this day are great speakers, due to mixed reviews and pricing was wondering if there worth keeping. i was thinking about keeping the same setup and hooking up a PS3 to the digital / optical out on the back of the receiver for today's technology (music/blu-ray). opinions or suggestions are welcomed. maybe a new receiver keep the speakers, visa versa. :D

2 B&W DM605 S2 (front left and right)
1 B&W LCR6 S2 (center)
2 B&W DM 602 S2 (rear left and right)
1 Klipsch KSW 12 (sub)

The speakers are terrible... give them to me!!!

:D

Really, of the bunch, the B&W stuff is still absolutely the stuff work keeping. The AVR 65 is archaic at this point, and the subwoofer is mediocre, at best and is suprising considering the other speakers.

I would keep the speakers and get a better subwoofer at some point, but switch out the A/V receiver for one with HDMI that can handle HD audio formats.
