Can some audioholic throw any experience with infinity's sub?

I've listened to a few, not too extensively. They're decent. There're better. There're many worse. What's the application and what other options are you considering?

Maybe velodyne, don't know yet. Right now, I have an Infinity SWS212 which I bought back in 1994. The monster has performed very well but I think its time to invest in a new sub. I called the dealer for repair but they claim infinity does not make anymore replacement parts. So I check the Infinity page and the only available part they have is the grille. The new one will be hooked up to yami 2500. My front firing range for l/r are infinity sm 155, center infinity sm and betas 20 for surround. Should, I look forward to buy another infinity sub? Any opinion is welcome.

Velodyne

I have the Velodyne DPS-10 and couldn't be more pleased with it. It nicely produces beautiful low tones instead of just low rumbles and boomy garbage. The longer I own this sub, the more I like it!

Not too much experience with the infinity subs, but I like the Klipsch referance line of subs and the Reel subs. The velodyne's are very good too. It just depends on what you want out of your bass track.

just ordered an Infinity CSW-10, should receive it on thursday will let you know how it turns out...., this will be my first Infinity sub but I have friends that have them and they do real well in both audio and movie applications.....

I will try to jump back on the forum and post my opinion on it after I have received it and had time to calibrate the sub....

There's a good review about this one by audioholics. Have you had the chance to listen the sub @ your's friend h/t. Does it really sound that good as they claim in the review.

I was at Circuit City the other day looking at some receivers and I heard this bass in the background, figured it being so loud it had to be coming from the car audio dept. Well, I was wrong it was a velodyne dps-10, It was nice clear and impressively loud bass coming out of this 10" sub, I was definately impressed.

Yeah, I too auditioned the Velo DSP-10....., was nice and clear but didn't put out enough sound for me....., kinda reminded me of my old Klipsch KSW-10, good sound just not enough punch to it........

yeah, I got it in two days ago, and after going through the RABOS setup on the sub I am extremely pleased with it...., the sub puts out loads of clean tight bass...., my room I am using it in is approx. 14x23 ft. and it more than does the job. One thing I was looking for was a sub that handled both music and movies equally well, and I will say I am extremely pleased...., I auditioned it on the eagles: hell freezes over dvd and I must say was VERY pleased, nice tight bass.... sounded like I was at the concert!!!
