Infinity in-walls, in-ceilings any good?

I've got two Infinity P362's as my LR, and I will likely add a PC350 as my center. (No, I'm not lifting my DLP another 5 feet into the air to add another P362 even though vertical centers do better for off-axis listening. See, I do read the site!)

I found this old thread... However, it didn't offer much.

I also read this... (There are tons of threads on AVS about boxing in-walls vs. leaving them be)

To the meat of my question, I want to add in-ceilings and in-walls for surrounds. To me, bookshelves on stands aren't very attractive. The ones that are out of of my budget. I know Niles Audio, Triad, Speakercraft and RBH make some good in-walls. Heck, I also know about going the Monoprice and the brands sold at Parts Express route. My issue is that I do listen to multichannel music (DVD, DTS, Blu-Ray and HD DVD--I will backfill SACD and DVD-A later). I read that it is better to match the surrounds in that case. Therefore, I'm looking at the Infinties as well. My budget (E-bay!) is preferably under $200+shipping for the four surrounds.

My AVR is a Harman Kardon AVR-247. My ceilings are standard one story 10 ft. high. (8 ft in the rest of the country, but I live in TX.) My distance from LCR to rear surrounds (back wall) is about 14 feet. My sweet spot (for now) will be a 5 ft. long couch. I'm not that concerned about off-axis listening because I don't want guests so comfortable that they stay longer than they should! :p

Hopefully, I didn't ask a totally newb question and gave enough info to get a few answers.

Oh yeah... 30% music, 50% TV (mostly 5.1 DD high def but some two channel), 20% movies

No answers...

Well, I bought my first in-ceiling from Harman off E-bay. Oh my... I guess 8" in-ceiling speakers are pretty big. I have 10 ft. ceilings. I know when doing recessed lights, 6 in. cans are the same urinating in the wind, so I went with 8" two-way (The 3-ways costs too much plus these are surrounds) ERS 310's. I think the PC250 center is too small. This ERS310 is almost the same size. Once, I get them hooked up, I'll listen to some 5.0 (and maybe some matrixed 2.0) stuff and let you know how they perform details wise.

Sorry I didn't see this thread earlier. I would have tried to help even though I have no experience with Infinity in-ceiling speakers.

Maz, I've read plenty of your posts. You have helped a LOT--especially with the stuff about 30 degree angles. I may seem like a bit of a post slut, but I do read a lot of the other posts and articles on this stuff. I do plan to box the back of these in my ceiling as I have complete access to my attic. The in-walls for the back surrounds will be a little more interesting.

Thanks for chiming in.

It is an interesting looking driver with a clean circuit board and big resistors and capacitors (plus a big ole solenoid) in plain view. However, it's part of the TSS series (didn't know that prior to purchasing--oops). Sonically, it's probably fine. I'm just annoyed that the ERS310 has spring pressure clips rather than decent screw down binding posts like my 3 front Primus series.
