Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of Crystal Skull coming May 22. The guy (Harrison Ford)is 65 years old now but they said he did more physical activities on this movie than those previews sequel. Its another Spielberg and Lucas teamwork.

Looks good, BUT there's a bit of danger when the star starts to age. Remember Sean Connery in Never Say Never Again? Man he looked old, not bad, but old. Somehow these heroes are not suppose to age, thy're timeless. Really would you want to see an 80 year old Indi jumping from roofs, landing in pits? I'll go see this in the movies, as I've seen them all, but to be frank, I have misgivings about this movie.

Looks like it might be good. It's funny how you mention Connery Strat, as he played Jones's father in the previous movies. Doesn't look like 65 is holding him back at all.

I couldn't disagree more.
I think the charm of Indiana has always the fact that he is not a super hero and recognizes it. He has the ability to laugh at himself and to be amused when he does something ridiculous and gets away with it.
I can't imagine a adventure genre hero that could deal with old age better.

Meh, maybe you're right. I guess the proof is in the puddin' as they say. I've seen them all on the big screen so for tradition's sake I'll see this one. The only Indi movie I really didn't like was the second one, Temple of Doom. The begining was good, but it spiraled dowm from there, number 3 wasn't bad, but not close to the original, both in story and impact.

As long as they cover up any semblence of turkey-neck he'll do great. lol

Ford is one of the consummate actors of our time.

From what I hear, this one is supposed to fall in line more directly with the original "Raiders" movie - at least have the same feel and vibe that one did.

Hell man, Harrison Ford has earned his keep probably as well if not better than any other actor out there. I've always been a fan of his movies, and especially the Indiana Jones series. I'm excited to see it! :)

The trailer looks good. I think it'll be a good flick as long as they don't try to use the more modern formula of lots of quick flash and not much bang. The actor director and producer all work well together and have a history of making entertaining movies. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and go see it.

This will be a must buy BD for me:D

Yes.......you heard that right!! By the time this is released on disc for home consumption, Paramount will release the entire series exclusively on BD;)

I bought my Indi DVD boxed set waaaay back in my "Fools Screen" days......so the entire set is way past due for replacement. I don't plan to replace many, but this series will most definitely be one of them.

I can't wait for this flick. The trailer was great. I love how the movie utilizes both, young and old Indy.

Cheers.

So long as they keep the CGI down to a bare minimum or none at all then it could be good. It could easily be ruined though if it ends up looking like those stupid mummy movies. I once read that Steven was not a fan of CGI effects, but George is in on this one so we might see Indy fight Jar Jar binks if it left to up to old Georgey boy.

LOL! I really hope they don't do what Lucas did with the final Star Wars (ep. III) movie and make it obvious they were throwing in scenes just to make a cool video game. It got ridiculous by the end of that movie.

As for 02vipertodd, if Harrison Ford is Jack Ryan to you instead of Indiana Jones (or even Han Solo!), you must be awfully young!

Cheers,

Kevin

I hope I am not as dissapointed with this movie as I was after watching the new Star Wars movies.

It looks a little cheezy and a lot more digital, but my hopes are still high for it. I will actually break down and go see this in the theater too.

I totally agree, that was basically my take on the new star wars. I hope this movie will not be like that. I will not be shocked though if I feel letdown after watching it.

I am fairly certain the Star Wars movies will still be a bigger let down :) They were good on certain levels, and very bad on others; IMO more bad than good. The Spiderman movies also had far too much digital in them.

Yes it was far too much green screen. The acting really suffered for the most part. I also did not like how the movie(s) flowed.
