increase in spam mail

I just ordered an Oppo dvd player and they asked for my email address for confirmation. since that i now average 5 junk emails a day. Anyone alse have this happen ? I am trying to see if it related. thanks

From everyone I order online from. And that's what I do for a living. This time of year it's picking up. Companies that I haven't bought from in years are sending several a day also. Try to imagine hundreds and hundreds a day. I have to empty my deleted folder once a week or it won't let me delete anything new.

I ordered a DVD player from Oppo. I used a special email address (oppo@mydomain.com) that I've never used anywhere else.

I haven't gotten a single email to that address other than the order confirmation.
