What do you guys think about newer In-wall speakers by klipsch and Aperion? I am thinking of all In-wall or front floor standing and rear in-walls for my setup. I auditioned polk in-walls and wasn't very impressed. I haven't been able to audition any other good in-wall but wondering if anyone has a similar setup and is happy with. Also upgrading receiver to Onkyo 706 or 806 depending on setup I go with. 806 would be overkill for all in-walls I think. This setup is for 90% HT/TV and 10% music in a room that is 13'x12' with walls on 3 sides. Looking at in-walls for clean look and WAF. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

if its the surrounds, you can be a little less concerned;) For all around in walls, check out triad, speakercraft, niles audio, focal, ect.... do you need an in wall sub?

Klipsch speakers are bright to most ears (tiring) and I don't care for them. I checked the specs on the Aperions, and if installed properly should do a good job, with a subwoofer. All in walls will need a subwoofer for HT duty, and music too, depending on taste in my opinion.

BUT WAIT! You only get to install these once, so lets get this right the first time. Look at Speakercraft. MazerSteven has these in his house I think. But he recommends others in another post, be right back.

Triad And Snell are a little higher on the food chain. Hope this helps :)

Infinity and JBL in-walls run to various price points. Some can be bought online at www.harmanaudio.com , while others can only be bought through Synthesis dealers.

If you are going to use the system for stereo music as well as movies, might want to use free standing fronts.

Thanks to all for great suggestions. I'm not planning on using in-wall sub, I have a SVS PB-10 that I would like to use with this setup. The room is not a dedicated HT but I doubt it would be used for much else. It is a den that open and 1 side and window on the other side. If I could close it off, it would make a perfect HT but not allowed to :(. wall mounted screen currently 50" but trying to convince wife for 58" or 60". Seating would be 8ft from screen with 3-4 ft from backwall. I like how MB quart car speakers sound(have them in my car) so thats tempting. My budget is $1500-2K for 5 speakers so MB Quarts might be out but I might get them to try and see if i can convince the better half. I have heard triad silver 6 at a friend's place and like the sound but they are little expensive for me. Thanks again for all great suggestions and hunt begins for me.

I used MB Quart for many years in my car/truck audio days. I purchased my home speakers several years ago. I never auditioned them until they got to my door. They blew me away. Same quality as the car audio.

In my auditioning, I preferred B&W 700/800 series. The cost was too high. After getting my Quarts, I am certain I made the right decision. It was scary waiting though.

You could use ALEXXA for the main three up front, and use ZURICH for the rest.
