In Wall Speakers vs. Energy Take FPS

Yesterday evening I just purchased the Peerless IM760, which is the in wall mount that they offer. It looked like it had all the features that I wanted. Now I am back on my quest to find my front loudspeakers and center. After talking w/ Scholling, who has been a great help, and taking into account the WAF I am down to a few loudspeaker options.

I have not heard the Energy Take FPS but, read some good reviews. I also like the fact I can mount them on the left, right and bottom of the TV.

The other option is to try to find nice in wall speakers. I figure I have to be cutting on the drywall to install the inwall mount so if I wanted to go the in wall route, no big deal. However, I do not know anything about any in wall speakers. Can someone recommend some that I should take a look at? Also, should I be even considering in wall speakers, do they sound worth a damn?

Thanks for your input, and help.

So you think that those in wall speaker makers you recommended would sound about as well as the energy speakers I am looking at currently? I was just concerned about them not having the cabinet around them.

better in some cases:) Its all subjective, but Ive installed many in wall systems that will out perform traditional systems.

That is great news, by no means wild crazy about having the most top quality sound. Heck I have a budget just like everyone else. With that being said I did like the Energy Take FPS speakers especially for the price of $139 each. Is there a recommended in wall speaker for the $120 - $200 price target?

Not IMO, nut at the energy's non sale price yes. If its just for movies and games, maybe. The Niles audio HD6 or 8 can be found in the 200-250 range.

Well I do not want to scrafice good quality sound just to entirely hide the speakers in the wall. I will have to consult the better half on if we want to go the in wall route or the Energy route.

If we do go the energy route, bandphan, you do like the energy speakers? I could not quite tell from your last post. Thanks for your help.

Its really up to your ears. Ive liked the offerings in the past. If your going inwall, dont skimp and get the best you can afford.

No I have not purchased the speakers yet. I have been out of town and have not had the time to shop for them. I think I have decided to go down the inwall mount route.
