So I want to put a pair of in wall speakers on an outside wall in the house. The wall is only 2x4, so I was wondering what is usually done in this situation? I dont want to not have any insulation in that spot... is there something they make for this problem?

Thanks

If the wall is framed with 2" x 4" lumber, I would strongly advise against an in-wall speaker. Not only will you have to remove insulation, the vapor barrier will be far more likely to be breached and that means moisture in your wall can damage the materials and re.the chance of mold growth is high. If anyone in your house has respiratory or allergy issues, this could be a major problem. On-wall speakers will be a better choice here.
