I am in the process of getting in-wall speakers. I can get great deals on JBL, Infinity, klipsch, and Jamo. I would love to hear some of your guys suggestions I am pretty new to this stuff and there are so many choices out there. Are these brands about the same for In-wall or does one stand out? These will be for a 5.1 HT setup in my finished basement the room is a long family room that is pretty open ~20 ft wide and ~50 ft long. The ceiling is trayed and has a section across the middle @ ~25ft. It kindy makes it seem like two rooms. I can probably spend up to ~1000-1200 but like i said I can get good deals on those brands ~50% off.

I know this has probably been discussed in detail before. I looked through most of the recent stuff and did not find much. If you know of a good thread on the subject please post a link.

Thanks for your help :)

Im all about taking advantage of good deals... and 50% off, pretty much spells it out right there.... I would suggest other brands, more like a step above what your talking about... but Hey... we're talking about quite a discount... I would be finding something in those products that you listed... :)

Out of the 4 you have mentioned, I have owned every one of them in one form or another over the years... They all have their strong and weak points.. They are all good quality speakers, everyone will have their own opinions, so just figure which is best for you. At this point, you should just do some heavy listening with your favorite material and figure out which ones you like the best.. they are your ears, and if you are quite discerning about your music, the speaker you like the best will let you know which one that is !!!!!

Take your time, and enjoy the hunt for your favorite... thats what its all about.

I have two distributed audio set-ups (Infinity in six rooms downs stairs and Bose in six room upstairs -- the Bose came with the house). Also three, theater set-ups Jamo (626K4 and SU6.521K4) and RBH (SI-6100 and SI-760) and RBH (MC-616 and MC 6DB). The RBH are the best, followed by the Jamo. You can get back boxes for the RBH in-walls, which added to the sound quality and containment. You can't beat 50% off on the Jamos. I did a side by side comparison of the Jamos above to some Triad Gold In-walls -- they were very close, although the Triads with their back boxes were slightly better, they seemed a little more solid. But hard to justify the big price difference. I didn't hear the Triads next to the RBHs, but knowing how the RBH speakers sound I think they are much better than the Triads.
