In-ceiling speaker help

I just want to say that this is a great forum for info on AV. I am in the process of building a house and I am prewiring my surround speakers. From the layout of the room, it is going to be best to purchase in-ceiling speakers to use as my surrounds. What are some of the better speakers to use for this? I don't know if it will make any difference, but I am going to be using the Denon AVR-4306 as my receiver.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I know there are straight down firing and tilted ceiling speakers. I think the tilted would be better suited. Since they don't aim straight down they should disperse the sound better. But I cannot remember who made them. Just my 2 cents worth. Hope it helps.

Thanks for the link. That will probably work better for surround by the way it tilts. My local home audio store thinks that Russound in-ceiling speakers will work for me. I haven't heard of them, any thoughts on them?

Nope. Can't help you there. But reading another post I came across these ceiling speakers. They look pretty cool.

You could always order via the net. I personally would like to hear them first.

Sonance makes good in-celing speakers, some of which are THX certified; and I've heard of Russound, but never heard the actual speaker. Polk just got some in-celings THX certified and look nice. What ever brand you go with in the front channels, try to stick with in the surrounds too. Good Luck!
