So you are going go the ATMOS route, didn't see that one coming. ;)
Yeah, I know what you're thinking - first the Yamaha, and then now Atmos? :D

I was waiting to see if it would die out like 3D video and Height matrix surround sound.

But it looks like Atmos is here to stay, so might as well jump on board. :D

Yep, one of the few times I got it right as an early adopter. It is not perfect, but you will notice a difference it quite a few movies.

Yeah, so many early adopters have been wrong in the past - 3D video, Height Matrix Surround, HD DVD, SACD, DVD-A, to name a few. :D

Atmos can be fun. I think Atmos 3D Audio is like 3D Video, but at least you don't have to wear any stupid glasses. :D

Looks like Atmos is here to stay. I don't see any reasons why it would go away. But even if Atmos somehow fades away one day, at least those ceiling speakers could still be used for surround sound.
