I would like to see Impact Acoustics offer PS2, XBox, and Gamecube cables. These consoles all support component video output and Toslink digital audio. Yet it's hard to find a cable at a reasonable price and high quality. Even the Monster Cable seems to use cruddy coax. I'd also like to see a Cable with Component video and digital audio. All the component cables I find are bundled with stereo audio, which for some is good, but not if you want a single cable solution for hooking up your console to your HT.

Free stuff is my favourite stuff!

Snake oil free audiophile isolation transformers and surge suppressor/power conditioners.

A good for example is a simple, inexpensive subwoofer surge suppressor that will pass the high current required yet protect it's amp from power spikes and surges. I have a feeling many subs go unprotected because they are physically too far from the main power protection and if within reach, it likely doesn't allow enough current for both amp and sub.

Only one monstrous company offers such a product, but it's priced higher than other company's full home theatre surge solutions. You get half as much for twice the price...what a deal! Problem is, full HT surge solutions are large and unwieldy. There's a gaping hole in the market for an affordable and effective sub protector to fill.

I couldn't find any switchers or distribution centers that included an RS-232 port or USB port (USB would be nicer for working with a Mac). DVI or HDMI switchers/splitters/distribution centers would be nice too.

Impact Acoustics!!!!!!!!!!!

I took the time to look through the online store of Impact Acoustic cables, and I was able to find just about anything needed for wiring home audio/video systems.

However, I would like to see the cables terminated with a higher quality connection if possible and mesh covering available. For example having a higher grade option available to the customer. One particular product would be the very new and popular firewire cable. I would like to see the cable look less industrial. It looks like it belongs on a computer and not a home theater system. Performance of the cable is my number one priority, yet asthetics do play a part. I like the cables to complement my high end system and poor looking cables regardless of performance are an eye sore. In all the prices at Impact Acoustics are very reasonable, down right unbelievable. I myself would be more than happy to give their product a try and let you guys know how it goes.

In the wall plate category, I'd like to see an option to have 2 speaker pairs and an RCA jack on a single gang plate. This would allow the cables for a Sub and both rear pairs in a 7.1 setup to run to one panel. ex. modify part no. 37082 by adding an rca jack for the sub.
Thanks

Great contest.

Checking out the website I see they carry a wide selection, what I did not see was power cables

DVI and HDMI switchers would be a good addition to their extensive selection of cables.

I second the video game connections. Not a lot on the market, and with the next generation (Xbox 360, PS3, etc.) on the horizon, console games may be the first non-computer based "source material" to provide 1080p content.

I have to say that I'd also like to see some high quality component cables for video game systems. The only one I've ever been able to find in stock anywhere was the microsoft version and I'm sure it uses the cheapest component video cables money can buy couldn't imagine how the picture would look with quality cables. Another option I'd like to see is longer runs of the invisawire, alot of ppl may have the same problem I do in that, a 25 foot run isnt long enough, maybe a 50 foot option would help.

I would like to see screw on, locking banana plug speaker cables. I'm looking for a set and since I can't solder, it's the best solution for me to build my own speaker cables without getting ripped off out there.

One Switch to rule them all!

As a Home Theatre man, I have -many- devices connected to my system. Unfortunately, my receiver doesn't have enough inputs to accommodate all eight of them:

- Cable Box (Component Video, Coax Digital Audio)
- DVD Player (DVI Video, Optical Digital Audio)
- PS2 (Component Video, RCA Stereo)
- XBox (Component Video, Optical Audio)
- GameCube (Component Video, RCA Stereo)
- TiVo (S-Video, RCA Stereo)
- XTV (Component Video, Coax Digital Audio)
- HTPC (Component Video, Optical Digital Audio).

Current Switching Products out right now (Pelican System Selector Pro) doesn't currently offer a COMPLETE switching solution for the home theatre (Optical Audio only on 1st four ports, no plug for Coax digital audio).

I think whoever can be first to market with an INTELLEGENT, well thought out switching solution for home theatre (low signal loss, low resistance), that is affordable to the consumer would make out very well.

Each port of the switch should offer the following:
- Component Video
- Composite Video
- S-Video
- RCA Audio (R/L)
- Coax Audio
- Optical Audio
(Optional) - Ethernet (Cat5)
(Optional) - HDMI/DVI

A switching product with THIS kind of capability would do VERY, VERY well.

And -THAT- is my suggestion! :D

Video game stuff would be sweet. Power distro and cabling, too. I really think there's a big hole in the market for people (like me) with older TVs and projectors with only analog inputs to connect newer digital devices. DVI or HDMI to HD component converters. That's a little beyond the scope of cabling, I know.

Cool stuff and keep up the good work!

Good site, great prices. They need to offer high quality firewire cables, and high quality 6-in-1 analog RCA cables for multichannel music. The 6-in-1 feature aids in untangling the AV "spaggetti' connections.

my tv can take input from a computer so a moniter cable of high quality and different lengths would be nice

3.5mm to rca cables

i'd like to see some long (2 meter or so) 3.5mm male stereo connector to 2 male RCA connector cables for connecting something like analog out of a computer to a receiver to get multichannel out of the PC since the digital connection is only stereo

all kinds of terminators for bulk wire

I notice that the website offers an unprecidented variety of bulk wire but no terminators. Come on now, you dont want people to buy your bulk wire and then have to look elsewhere of the terminators  I'd like to see some banana plugs (locking and standard), RCA terminators, Spade terminators etc.

Maybe even offer a discount on various terminators if someone purchases more than 100 ft. of a bulk wire. You get the idea...
