That is one heck of a deal. I think they are actually $80 regular price. I have one of these that I won on here and they are good cables.

How does this compare to the ones that blue jeans cable offers? I'm gonna buy two HDMI cables soon, so if this one is comparable or even better, than I'll be all over it.

Oh and do you know if this is HDMI 1.3 compatible?
Thanks...

What makes the cable not 1.3? I thought the spec said it wouldn't matter what cable you used going forward or backwards, at least through 1.3. I am using it with my PS3, which is 1.3 and it works fine. IMO, the Bluejeans ones are a bit more solid feeling and are molded rather than assembled, but they do cost a bit more for the same length at this price. Visually, I can't tell the difference between them for picture quality.

Personally I don't think it makes a difference but true audiophiles would beg to differ. It is said that HDMI 1.3 cables have increased bandwidth, better colors, and the ability to pass HD lossless audio formats including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. If that all means nothing to you, well your good with the $14 Cable. Personally, my sound is amazing with the impact acoustics cable so I am not going to upgrade but for those who do there are other cables out there besides Monster who do HDMI 1.3
j_garcia is right here. There is no such thing as a real certified HDMI 1.3 cable, thats just marketing garbage that gets people to waste on cables. In reality and HDMI cable for a short run will likely be able to carry the bandwidths needed for 1.3 specification. The problem occurs on longer runs where cheaper cables cannot handle the higher bandwidths required and drop the signal. In the end any well designed and built cable will do the job perfectly whether or not the company making/selling it stuck on a "1.3 Certified Stamp".

The moral of the story with short runs buy any old HDMI cable, but with longer runs (30ft+) get a higher quality cable from somewhere like Bluejeanscables (you still don't need to spend a ton of money to get quality).
