I recently invested in a Roksan Kandy K2 and a pair of B&W CM5's and currently just use an iPod/iPhone dock as an audio input or line out on my macbook (i know cringe worthy).

I am currently looking at my options for an input device or DAC

From what I have seen the options are:
The Logitech Squeezebox route (Don't know which model would suit my system best)
A USB or Optical/Digital in DAC
Or invest in a decent CD player (currently my xbox360 is doing this job and I'm actually impressed with the quality of the DAC in it considering it's a MS project/product. Connected with Cambridge Audio Azur RCA)

I don't want to go and invest in something that's way beyond the setup I have at the moment but at the same time this is currently my biggest bottle neck.

Digital storage would be ideal as I have a Drobo II FW800 with 2TB sitting free at the moment connected to my iMac (in a different room to my system but available via cat5)

Any input would be appreciated theres so many options and i don't want to invest in a Squeezebox if the audio replication isn't going to get close to a CD.
