I spoke with Jim Salk on Friday and he tells me my Song Tower RTs and Song Center will ship this coming Thursday or Friday. :D I ordered the Song Surrounds 2 weeks later and I forgot to ask if they were ready. It's been almost two months since I placed my order and I hadn't really gotten too antsy up until now. But now that I have a ship date I'm so excited. The next week and a half are going to be tough.

For some reason I thought you had them already. Congrats, anyways. Should be awesome . . .

First the room treatments and now Song Towers? Well, I'm mostly happy for you and only a little envious.
I think Swerd might be shedding tears of joy. :D

Take some time to get used to them- there's no doubt that they'll sound far different from your current speakers and you'll need to purge the memory of the sound. Don't switch between them and your existing speakers until you have become accustomed to them.

I expect a full write-up.

I'm anxious to hear your impressions when you get them. Salk makes some beautiful speakers with amazing craftsmenship for the money.

Very nice - definitely would like to hear about an A/B comparison, once they settle into your system. What speakers are you running now?

Good advice from highfigh.

Congrats sholling, WE expect a full write-up with photos.

On a more practical level, the only accessory you might find necessary is cap with a sturdy chin strap. After you first listen to your STs, a chin strap helps you avoid appearing like a slack-jawed fool ;)

Depending on what speakers you now listen to, you may have to attach a drool cup to the chin strap :D.

Thanks everyone. I'm running a 4 y/o set of Boston Acoustics VR3 towers and a VRC center. The VR3s are decent speakers but rear porting doesn't work in my dinky family room. Jim made this set of STs with front ports. I'm afraid there is no room for an A/B comparison.

I might have to visit you once you get them dialed in...Im not too far away ;) That is one brand of speaker I will probably purchase in the future.
