The Audiosource is just an amp. It's not receiver. I'm pretty sure that PDawg uses one for one of his extra zones.

Yeah. he could get a cheap 5.1 Onkyo home theater receiver for 100 from a4less.

But if he has stereo outputs he can also use the amp. And if PDawg uses one I bet it's not too bad.

you didn't spec if your sound card output was multi channel?
For a 2 channel setup, I would suggest the HK SoundsticksII. They sound great for computer gaming use and include a powered sub with a good deal of kick. The "sticks" have 4 drivers each and sound fantastic. You can demo them at an Apple store as I think they sell them.

I agree; in the audio realm your correct, but since he noted he was looking for something to use with his computer gaming, and on the inexpensive side it would be an alternative to a 2 channel stereo amp/receiver and two bookshelff speakers and a sub. Of course he will get better sound with the latter, but limits the quality of component he can buy based on budget

Wow, I can't find the Infinity Beta 20's anywhere. Every store I go to is either out of stock or is selling each for around 100 bucks.

Might be a little expensive not sure if they have gone down in price or not yet. Great speakers all around, perfect for gaming. Logitech Z-5500.
