Ok So I have setup the speakers and the reciever appropriatly and are now functioning properly. So incase any of you were wondering about iKion speakers (even though most of you dislike them already) heres a bit of a review;

the two fronts (CM6500) are heavy as hell, are packed with 2 10" subs in each speaker with a 500w amp, 2 6.5'' woofers and 1 6.5'' mid range speaker anda 1'' tweeter. there very powerful speakers after testing them out, with the subs on, theres a good amount of bass to accentuate the sound but with teh subs turned off, the bass is leveled off with the treble depending what ur reciever is set to. With these speakers, the only down side to them is that you have to have them atleast 30 inches away from ur tv so it does not distort it.

The center channel (CM515) and the surrounds (CM500) don't do much for bass and untill recently setting the reciever up properly, i couldn't even hear the rear speakers. but now they work good, not much bass but they serve the surround purpose.

Do i recommend these speakers to people?

Since iKon is fairly new, for the price you can get an equal or better system with one kicker sub for a cheaper doller.
They have no rep to get back up on but they continue to sell as if they are the best in the class.
if u buy them, i dont think u iwll be dissappointed but u will have to pay dearly for them. the two fronts (CM6500) alone are $4000
Personally if i can do it over again, id just get energies with like 8'' woofers and a nice sub.

Doesn't sound like a bargain to me for sure. So it's just a matter of seeing if they are actually any good for that price or just heavy speakers with pretty drivers. Right now they are a no-name brand selling for lots of money because a retailer is touting them as high-end.

Perhaps they will contact some publications and submit products for review and we'll see.

ikon audio designed by erickson consumer,built in china,have the same drivers and box as bestbuy and futureshops lowest end,go look.box is made of particle board not mdf,sparce glue and brad nails.the cheap photo finish peels back with dusting and the amps go in months.cost of cm6200's $450 you pay $1700 . cm6500's $650 you pay $2500 cm6800's $800 you pay $3000 minimum.generally demonstrated in specially designed rooms with top of the line receivers and dvd players using specially prepaired cd's.

Definitely doesn't look the same as the Ikon Audio. I would not buy the original speaker's based on looks alone...Wow are they ugly, especially with those woofer's on the side like that. I personally can't stand that and see absolutely no reason for putting speakers on the side of the box. But I've never heard those speaker's specifically so I obviously don't know that they sound bad. they just look horrible in my opinion.

Oh yeah, if you look at the picture's of the two subwoofer's they offer you will notice that it is the exact same picture for both of them. Same thing for the center channel. That is just ridiculous, I mean come on, if they are supposed to have the same 1" tweeter and different sized midrange's how can you use the same picture for them? Wow, I spoke too soon, they also have the same picture for the two different bookshelf speakers.
