then what would be better, RPLCD or RPDLP. I am moving in a couple of months and I plan on buying a new tv. I have been eyeing the new Sony 46E2000 or the Toshiba 50 DLP (forgot the #). I wouldn't be going any bigger then 50, in fact, 50 might be too big for my new house. I think the 46 would be about the perfect size. But for arguements sake, lets say that 50 would be the perfect size. So, provided that I am oblivious to SDE, SSE and RBE, what is better?

As long as you don't see rainbows on DLP sets, it seems to be a toss up, IMO. I do see the rainbows and dislike RP TVs in general, so I personally would go LCD over plasma for gaming reasons mostly.
