Ideas for a new AUDIO RACK?

What's your favorite audio rack? I need something new and snazzy - I don't care what the cost is (I'd like something very upscale). No MDF or laminates, etc. - something really great, with at least four shelves! Any ideas? Any photos?

Many thanks to all who responded to my question! I'm not quite sure I found what I was looking for, but I like Schroers & Schroers a whole lot!

WARNING: don't get sticker shock when get price quote on S&S stuff.

I'll look and see if I can find the web address for another company I like. They also make glass items but offer a crackle finished glass. It's another European manufacturer.

Billy Bags offers crackle glass for their shelves:

A/V racks

I feel there are a couple of choices:
1)If you like the futuristic/Hi-tech/industrial look,there are literally hundreds of manufacturers...check Audiogon.com.
2)I myself can't think of owning anything but "salamander" gear...I bought their SVDO a/v rack & I may buy another as I expand my basement system-you can't beat their choice of shelf wood colors & they also offer a silver/stainless look for the shelf supports along w/ all kinds of other accessory & goodies...check audiogon.com...lots of pics....A sure thing for my money!-good luck

These are nice! And not too, too expensive... Here's another one I like, made with granite, but maybe they're a bit too "industrial" looking:

If you have a National Liquidators Wholesale (sp?) nearby, I just saw a pair of vertical, open, audio racks for under $100. I believe they have five levels and holes for cable routing. If I was in the market I'd go for 'em.

Glass shelves a no no?

Hey. My system is going to be stationary for awhile with the arrival of my Denon 3910. (yeah, right) Here is the rack I have,
http://www.sanus.com/cgi-bin/web_store.cgi?page=products/furniture/natural/NF206b.html&cart_id=5603207_27477

YBA specifically states that thier components should not be placed on glass shelving. I love the look of the rack, but would like to make some isolation platforms. I am an excellent carpenter, and also do tile work. If I make a platform of 3/4 plywood, 1/4 cement board, and 1/2 inch marble or granite sandwiched together, can I set this on the glass shelves of my rack and get a good isolation platform? Or do I need to get rid of the glass alltogether? Any thoughts would be appreciated in advance. David TwoTrees
