No problemo JAMS > You are already set for the new high resolution audio codecs.
I need the nad upgrade for the lossles codecs my hdmi will only do video!
My ps3 would decode the lossless codec but not on optical!
Oh well, i did play the dvd bd the hulk and it was tremendous on action sequences!
Black ice was recorded nice, vocals were laid back as the screaming singer
was clear but recessed enough ,thank goodness!
I might try some good blues guitar stuff on 365live radio on the net!
Wish i had a good DAC for the net also!
Hey Jams, your PlayStation3 will output those new high res. audio codecs converted to LPCM, without any loss of resolution, through it's HDMI output, and into your NAD T 765 A/V receiver. Your Nad receiver has HDMI version 1.3, which pass the high resolution audio and video.
Just remember to set your PS3 audio output, from it's HDMI audio out, in the audio menu, to Multichannel Linear PCM, that's all, you should be all set to go man.
* AC/DC new album "Black Ice", you like?
~ Try some great Blues by John Hammond "Wicked Grin" (HDCD encoded), and "Back Porch".
~ Do you like Harry Manx ("Dog my Cat", and all his other albums)? Lucinda Williams (All her albums), several HDCD encoded?
~ Rita Chiarelli? Ronnie Earl? Steve Earle (All his albums), several of them HDCD encoded?
~ Terry Evans "Walk that Walk"? Mighty Sam McClain "Blues for the Soul"?
~ Doug Macleod "Wose Truth, Whose Lies"? Guy Davis "Butt Naked Free", and "Give in Kind"? Both HDCD encoded.

---> All these guys and guyles are some of the best, and they produced many magnificent albums. Some on SACDs, and some on excellently recorded CDs.
My collection on Blues Music is very vast, and if you want the very best titles from the very best artists, from the very best recordings on SACDs and CDs, just let me know and I'll give you a list right here man. How's that?
Cheers,
Bob
* HDCD = High Definition Compact Disc, compatible with any CD player.
--> Higher dynamics with much better bass and clarity at both extremities of the audio frequency range.
