I think I killed my receiver

Looking at those wall connectors, a hairline short behind the walls when they were being installed are a distinct possibility, not to mention in front of the walls as well.

...all it takes is one strand of wire.

Thank you all. I am going to double check every connection behind the wall plates and put connectors on the wires before they get plugged back in again. I have an older Sony receiver someone gave me I can use as a temporary replacement and hopefully I will get some music going again this weekend. I will post for advice on the permanent replacement receiver/amplifier and the second set of speakers in a separate post.
