I Ordered Some Speakers :)

When we had listened to a few sets of speakers together, I realized that she also has a taste for a nice sounding sound system.

Could I afford them my girl would approve of those regardless of sound. She has seen the cherry ones and has made mention of how much she liked the looks of them on a couple of different occasions but didn't take the time to listen to them when they were right in front of her.

Alll of us would appreciate some pics when you get them set up.

I all worked out pretty good.

Well I have the S8's and just finished setting them up and tinkering around with them a bit. They sound amazing.
Everythings a mess, I need to tidy up the wires, I have so much 14ga wire here, I might Bi-Wire them just cause..
For my amp i am using a QSC CX404
Preamp harmon kardon hk3490

I don't know how the room is setup, how wide of a LP there is, or just how close you are, but my educated guess is that you're going to want to play a lot more with placement, like spreading the speakers out significantly more, or at least I tend to toe-in my speakers more than some do, and maybe from the front wall as well (SBIR). In any case, I'm sure you'll get around to that (but might as well offer that in case), and congrats. If you do sit just a few ft away from tv, I can see why they are so close. Otherwise, see if you can start with a rough equilateral triangle as a starting point, with the axes crossing right in front of face as starting point.
