I need some help choosing some floor standers

Ok so I'm having a little bit of a dilemma. I'm starting to put together a system and I thought I'd start with the floor standers first. I would just like some opinions on these speakers. Right now I'm looking at the Paradigm Millenia 200, KEF iQ9, Mirage OMD-15, and the paradigm Millenia Monitor 7 v5(however on digm's website it says Magneshield is only with the black ash model) Anyways your opinions would be most appreciated. I just purchased a new TV and now I'm ready to build around it. If you have any other sugguestions I am all ears. I just was able to hear the KEF's but the other 3 I've heard really good things.

Budget? How often do you listen to music versus watch movies? What kind of music do you like? Where is this system going? How big is the room and how close are you going to be seated? Are you married/do you have a live in girlfriend? Do you have, or are you going to buy, a subwoofer?

I listen to every kind of music literally. I love to watch movies, I think this will be mostly used to watch movies and big games like superbowl with friends. I will be purchasing a sub. No girlfriend wouldn't matter anyways (can't let the women control you if ya know what i mean) I will be about 8 to 10 ft away. Room dimensions I just don't have yet. That being said I know room dimensions are important just throw them out for now. Woops almost forgot the budget um...well budget lets say 2 to 2500 for speakers no power, wires, or cables. I am in college I'm mostly trying to put together a decent setup nothing overpowering but something I can really get into when I'm watching a movie for sure. If that helps.

As for the Magneshield not being available on all of the Monitor speakers it's not really a big deal unless you are using an old tube TV where the magnets could interfere with the image. My Monitor 11's don't have it and they are only about 2.5 feet from my TV, an old tube, and I don't get any interference just so you know.

Thanks Highbar that was a huge help. That question had been lingering my mind. I didn't think that a reputable company like digm would produce something that would mess with people's new lcd and plasmas but you never know these days what companies will try and pull. I think I am leaning more towards the Monitor 7 v5's. Got any thoughts on those?

Well If you just want decent then go to ebay and look up infinity betas for your fronts. (I love mine) For a sub I got a dayton and I am still thanking the one who recommended it on this forum.

They are a steal for the price.

Thanks I'll look into the Beta's for sure. I've heard a pair of Jamo C 607's too. I thought they sounded pretty good. Does anyone have experience with this company?

Yes the Jamo C607 is a giant killer. The sound from these are sublime. I would recommend them for sure.
