How far did you get into "Expert Mode":
Yes, I went though all the settings.
Basic mode set the speakers to 95hz and the Sub to bellow that, which I think it’s wrong, because SVS recommends to set the sub 20hz above the cutoff the speakers (which I’m not used to, because I always set them to the same number, at least on a home theater setup)
Once I get the speaker stands, I will see if the sound improves, or if it doesn’t , I will do the sub crawl.
For me, im limited to have it under the desk or next to it, Left or right, so I will choose which one sounds better from those location.

Agree that there really isn't overkill per se. You will seldom regret buying quality

So you ask for recommendations then question them.

No such thing as Overkill. And its not that Powerful. It's just one if the Best Bang for the Buck subs within Your requirements

Hi, I received the LSX and SB-1000 on Saturday.
So far, I’m still trying to get the right sound out of them. I placed an order from Soundrise for their 9” pro stands which might help with the sound quality coming out of the LSX.
One weird thing I noticed is that I have to increase the volume on the SB-1000 pass 12 o’clock to get bass. Is this normal because it’s only a 300w amp?
Is the signal sub out from the LSX too low?
I’m still trying to balance that too.
I’m only listening to classic rock, so I don’t need much bass.
Thanks again.
Everyone has a preference to how much bass they like. Keep fiddling with the volume gain till you achieve nirvana.
