I recently purchased this turntable, it has a built in preamp, I want to know what I need for it in the basic of terms, I've heard that you need an amp or receiver with a phono input? I have a homemix cd mixer in my house which has a phono input, would that work? Please help and could you also recommend some cheap amps or recievers with phono inputs ? Thanks

That looks great, so will I need speakers and what do you mean by ground input? Thanks

Since your turntable has a built-in phono preamp. you don't need to look for a receiver/ampifier that has one also. Any unit will work.

Just feed your TT into any avaiable line level input (make sure the internal phono pre is activated!) and you should be ready to go.

I fact, if you try to feed it into a phono input, it will sound like hell.

this is going to sound really stupid but what is a line level input and i have 2 receivers but none have a phono input, I have a pioneer VSX-C11-S multi-channel receiver which has:

TV/SAY IN
DVR/VCR IN
DVD IN
DVR/VCR OUT

All are red and white, is that any use?

Yeah but you need amplification/Ground for your receiver, so you will need it or it will sound like SH!T.:D
