Mitsubishi, model:WS55857

The colors are lining up anymore. The red and green are offset. The TV was not hit or moved when this appeared. I need to know how to get in the adjustment setup and how to do it if it is possible.

Thanks for your help.

I don't know about the Mitsubishi, but my Toshiba has a converge menu, There is 9 white crosses, plus a blue and red cross lined up on the white ones. With the l,r,u,d button, you then move the blue and red crosses either up, down, left, or right until they line up perfectly with the white crosses.

I'm not sure what menu system your Mits has but you will probably find the convergence menu under advanced settings. You will first get a crosshair in the center of the screen. Use the arrow keys on the remote to align the red so it does not show outside the white lines. You may not be able to get it perfect but get it as close as you can. Press the "Audio" button to switch to blue and do the same. Press the "Video" button and you will get a grid. This allows you to do fine adjustments in specific areas of the picture. Move the slector around with the arrow keys and press enter. Adjust using the arrow keys. "Audio" will switch between red and blue.

With that said, you may have a more serious problem. Are the colors just slightly off or are they way off, as in 1/2 inch or more. Is the picture bowing? If that is happening then you have a problem that cannot be adjusted away.

Hi Ho, I tryed your tip but the image is way off. It's bowing to much. What can it be?
What can be done to fix, if possible? Thanks for your help.

It sounds like its time to call a repair tech.

Your convergence IC's are shot. If you can solder well or know someone who can do it for you, you can probably pick up the IC's pretty cheap. Otherwise you will have to take it to a repair shop and it can cost anywhere between $250 and $400 depending on the labor rates they charge.
