I need help choosing high-end speakers for my HT

I am looking for some very good speakers, basically to replace the 7 speakers that came with my ONKYO HT9100THX system.
I am already working on buying the sub from either svs, hsu or elemental designs.
Please advise.
I am looking at Axiom speakers.

Can you give us a little more info on what you have to work with. Things like room size and budget are important as well as the percentage of music vs. movies ect. I don't have any experience with Axiom, but their owners rave about them. I think they are 4 ohm, so you might want to consider an external amp to drive them. Good start as far as the sub goes. I'm partial to SVS. Good price to performance ratio (Yes we all know DIY is "better" before someone feels the need to add that yet again). As others will most likely tell you, listen to as many different speaker brands as you can to find out what you like. Make sure you bring a sample disc of music/movies you are very familiar with. Based on the price of the Axioms, others in the same range would be Paradigm's Monitor series and Emotiva 6.3's. I'm sure someone will point you toward B&W as well. I'm limited as far as what's available in my area. I'm sure some of the more experienced members will chime in.

The receiver that comes with that package won't really be up to the task of handling 80s IMO (THX Select, probably a 70x series), not to mention that the price of those speakers is WAY out of line compared to what you will be powering them with. I would drop down the towers to M60s or M50s (which are 8 Ohm vs 4 for the 80s) or even M22s and put the difference towards the sub. VP150 and QS8s should be OK.

A friend of mine bought M60 b-stock or blems or whatever Axiom calls them and they looked perfect, we couldn't find a mark on them. I thought they sounded good as well, detailed but not harsh. Those should do fine as fronts unless your room is very large.

If you stick with Axiom I would agree with j garcia’s suggestion to get the M22s and put the saving toward the sub. Additionally if you can fit one above or below you screen I would change out the VP150 for an M22 center. It costs a lot less and and it would also give you the ideal of having 3 identical speakers across the front. However as oppman99 and griffinconst mention room size is important. Also whether you plan to listen to 2ch music w/o a subwoofer then you might want to stick with towers.

Also as griffinconst says about his friend’s B-stock M60 I’ve ordered 10 B-stock Axioms and there wasn’t a mark on any of them. Some owners have reported extremely small cosmetic issues with Axiom B-stock but that’s the exception.

Whats your budget? How big is the room that you are going to be putting them in and how loud do you to intend to be playing them? These factors all play an important role in choosing your speakers.

The thing is idk what my budget is.
I want to def update my receiver in the very near future, so i want to get something that will be still good to run with one of the latest Denons receivers.
Room is 18x13.5x8

IMHO, Axiom is not high end. Since you don't have a budget restriction and want the most quality possible, try this;

RBH T-1R for L,C,R. Review on AH here is the floorstanding version, but it is the same if you dont get the sub (lower) half.

Dual SVS PB-13 Ultra for low end.
