I need help badly

okay i have
2 amps
2 12" sony xploid subs
2 10" jvc speakers

i'm trying to hook my car audio system to my house. i have a stereo reciver it's a jvc but i dont know if i can hook the subs and speakers to it my subs are 1400w a piece and my speakers are 1200w a piece but the back of the reciver says 200w i am so confused. all help would be greatly appericated
oh and i do have some experience setting up speakers i'm just new to car audio systems

good luck, the sound will be somewhat lacking and there is a chance of damaging the recv. Are you building enclosures for home audio? I would be hard pressed to say that your subs or speakers will/have never see the wattage listed. Invest some duckects in a cheap speaker system and you will be better served.

well i was thinking the reciver was going to blow up caus i think the rating is like 200w maximum i was just going to hook up the speakers but then again it's 2800w but i read on a form some where if i have a power source it can be done any suggestions?

check the dyi fourm(for making a sub enclousre and what amp will work for powering them) power ratings for the speakers are not relevant as none of us get even close to those watts continuously and only a few would have system that could peak at that.(anything over 25 watts is very loud) You will need to check and see what ohm the speakers are rated at, as stated, you will likley cause damage to your receiver

his wont likely work, as this is made to run in DC or battery power, there are issues with step down voltage, rectification, caps and power ratings are in DC mode.
