I need a DVD player recommendation!!

I am going to make a new purchase of a 5-disc DVD player within the next week and I was hoping to field some recomendations from you guys.

Price is open (within reason... under $1500) and I am looking for killer video and SACD (SACD is not an absolute req. if the video playback of another player is that much better) and also very good CD (2channel) audio playback.

I've been considering Marantz (Marantz does not have SACD on 5-disc), Denon, Pioneer, etc...

You can get much more bang for your buck if you limit yourself to a single player. Plus, why spend a ton of cash with the new formats coming out next year?

I just purchased the Pioneer Elite 79-AVi and can tell you it is an amazing player for both audio and Video.

It can be had for about $1K US, Also I dont really buy into the whole HD-DVD right around there corner. I mean, I'm sure it is and I cant wait but there is no guarantee that it will play SD DVD's better than the best players available now since that wont be it's main focus.

If you are anything like me, I have about 650 DVD's and would like them to look as good as they can for as long as they can. I will most likely use this player for 5 years so the cost isn't that much. Plus it is also designed as a top notch audio performer so when it is retired from video work, it will not be retired completely.
