I was one of last month's winners of a DVI Gear HDMI cable. I received the HDMI-DVI cable yesterday afternoon and installed it today. This cable is one of the most robust cables I have ever seen. My previous HDMI-DVI cable was an old used leftover from the audio store where I purchased my receiver. The new DVI Gear cable is huge. It is 1/2" in diameter which means it has a lot of shielding and cable protection. The old cable was only about 3/16" in diameter. I was getting some digital artifacts with the old cable and those have now stopped. When Time Warner fixes the firmware problem with the SA 8300 DVR and I can use the HDMI connection from the DVR to the receiver, I'll buy another DVI Gear cable.
