I know it's 2015, but Marantz 7007 or Denon 3313?

A couple of years ago, I was seriously considering an upgrade to my trusted Denon 3805. The 2 models above were my 2 main contenders, but as so often happens, life kind of got in the way. Now I'm back in the hunt, and I noticed that there is residual inventory for both at Amazon at giant discounts from the original MSRP ($750-$799 currently). I really like the 7-channel analog inputs on the Marantz, but just noticed it doesn't have any DSP processing, if I read right. I really like listening to 2-channel audio in 7-channel stereo mode on the Denon so that might be a dealbreaker. Can anybody confirm that? Seems odd not to have that on a model that retailed for $1700 originally.

Is there anything out new in the 700-800 price range that competes with the specs on these 2 models? Seems like Yamaha is the people's favorite for an affordable integrated receiver these days.

I think you read wrong. The SR7007 should offer very similar if not almost identical feature set and specifications. They both have multichannel stereo mode. I would choose whichever one you can get a better deal, unless you prefer the look of one over the other. None will be as powerful as the 3805 but should be close.

Denon 4520ci...

XT32 and more power.

I like the look of the Marantz, but the 3313 and 7007 are very close in everything. If I could get them close to the same price, Id take the 7007, but like I said, Id spend a little more and get a 4520ci while you can.
