They sound VERY smooth and refined in the mids and highs, and have excellent tight bass response. In comparison to the Paradigm Titans I auditioned recently, these blow them out of the water. The super delicate EMIT tweeters are in excellent shape, and the woofer surrounds have already been profesionally replaced with very nice replicas. With a 1978 price tag of $250+, I would say they are not exactly cheapos. I am not sure what a '78 price point of $254.00 translates to now, but I am guessing maybe a set of Paradigm Mini-Monitors or the like, at $400. The picture does no justice as my camera is a junker, they are in fine condition seeing as they are much older than I am!
