I ordered a Panasonic 54G25 from Amazon. They had a good price and a great financing deal I couldn't pass up! Does anyone have experience ordering a large TV from Amazon? I had it shipped to the store I work at but that poses a problem in that I still have to get it home. It's not fitting in my car. It gives me a delivery estimate of Nov 15-18 but no tracking number as of yet. Since I will have to borrow a truck to get it home I'm hoping for an accurate delivery date. I can't wait!

Still no tracking number... I just want it to ship! Appearently I don't know how to name a thread because most of the threads I start end up with zero replies. Wierd. Maybe It's just me? I guess no one has experience ordering a TV from Amazon or anywhere online?

lol. Congrats on your new tv. I've ordered my last 2 displays online - 1 from amazon, and 1 from dell. Both arrived with no issue. Amazon usually does have good interest free financing on tvs, so just don't forget to pay it off before all that interest kicks in

The delivery estimate is still the 15th-18th but now it is Wednesday and I know how slow freight can be. I've never seen anything sit on "Shipping Soon" for so long.

Recently received a Samsung LN46C650 from Amazon, received email from shipper, selected delivery date, tracked, arrived perfectly, very pleased.

Oh, and congrats! I almost went with a G25.

Congrats on the purchase. I've never ordered a TV from amazon, nor has anyone I know personally.

The story I do remember is when Adam ordered I think it was a G10 from them, and he was pretty much their biggest fan. It was a hassle because he took the specific day off from work to be there, and I think it was a no show; waste of a day.

Since you say you're having it shipped to work, I'm not worried about this particular possibility. For the shipping soon part, I would try to contact them.

I remember, depending on the exact time/month, when people ordered the V10 roughly a year or more ago, the wait could be quite long, and that's including people who ordering from Panasonic Direct. I think it's a matter of inventory on hand, at times. I'm talking about over a month, including through Pana, particularly the 65V10.

I'm pretty much sold on the 54G25 myself.
Just out of curiosity I've had it in my save till later basket for a month now.
I've watched th price bounce up and down by a hundred bucks almost every day.
Hopefully you jumped when it was in the low 1300s.

When it goes down to free I'll be able to afford it.

The TV shipped Thursday and now has tracking information. Estimated delivery is the 17th. I have actually been avoiding watching some of the shows on my DVR because why would I want to watch them on this tiny 42" when that 54" is coming.

Best wishes with your new display , sounds like you got a real nice panel there and I hope we see some pics of this masterpiece when it's hanging on the wall, I know the wait is a real killer but once it gets there it's all on.

Unfortunately it won't be hanging on the wall yet. I could frame out where the TV is now and mount it but I plan on moving in a couple months into a house where I will definetely be mounting it.
