no you listen, if you have nothing but a CD tape player why are you messing with the TV? all sources to jvc directly. if that dosent work dont know how to help you. your getting impatient and all we need is complete information. I've taken my time to help, which I'm sure I know most issues, and it's like pulling teeth to get your complete information.

Hi Donna, was passing through... quick question, please.
Are you repurposing the various channels on your reciever to connect items not accounted for? I used to do that too and it can be confusing for us to understand what you are describing. :)
If you are able to please post a photo of the connections you are making, it might allow for better information to help solve your situation.
Cheers!

if your are on a smartphone, download tapatalk. I don't like it, myself, but for posting photos, it works easiest.

Other than that... I agree with @everettT, I was really confused by your description. If the photo won't work, please be patient and help us help you.
If you would please, list each component and how you have it connected, and to which ports. :)

forgive, but sometimes the simplist is what gets us in trouble. :) Please confirm you have the correct component output on your TV being used. Depending on your TV, there might be inputs as well. Likewise, did you confirm the setting in your TV menu that you are using component out?
