HTR-6090 Zone 2 Output

My new Yamaha Receiver works well with the home theater components but I am not getting anything out of the Zone 2 output. I can connect a DVD player directly to an aux amp and get sound in the other rooms, but when I connect the same DVD player to the receiver and connect zone 2 to the aux amp I get nothing. I have been through the zone 2 setup for ext amp but there must be something I am missing to get zone 2 working. Thanks for any suggestions.

Zone 2 will only play analog sources. If your DVD player is connected thru Digital coax or optical that's most likely the problem. Try connecting the analog red/white connections and select analog input rather than "auto" which most likely defaults to.
