My guess would be that Dr. HSU designed each driver from the ground up but contracts a over seas OEM to do the actual manufacturing. Then ships the drivers out in a certain sized lot and then assembled in California HQ.
Just a guess though. Kind of same as what SVS does with the NSD drivers, contracts Peerless to do a custom driver and then they ship them to SVS in Ohio where final assembly takes place.
