How would this sub compare to the ported Rythmik 15?

I think that depends on what you expect from it. Yes, it will go deep and low, but not as much as the FV15.

I don't think a single f15 will suffice for a 25' x 15' room. It might do ok if you don't need deep bass and you don't listen to anything loud.

I would tend to agree with that, but that's what I meant by expectations. It will definitely give you some good bass, but if you are looking for more rumble down low, a vented sub is going to do more of that. If this is primarily music, then it should be solid for that.

I have the HP version of the F15 sealed and it has some serious output in my open-floorplan house.
I would suggest at least moving up to the HP, or go to the ported version, but I have not personally heard either the ported or the non HP sub.

If my Empire ever dies I will most likely go for a F15HP. When the amp died previously, I was about to pull the trigger on one but Epik replaced the amp and it fine for now.

Yeah, I got my F15HP as B-stock (slight nick that you can't see) so I got a good deal on it. I was just about to pull the trigger on a 12" SVS, then this one came along. As luck would have it, the F15HP was the largest sub that would fit in my available space for it.
