How to turn Direct TV display off

Does anyone know how to turn the display off on the direct TV receiver? I've got the HR20-100s HD/DVR receiver and I can't find anything that says how to turn the annoying blue lights off on the unit.

on both sides of the lights tap the half moons at the same time a few times it will eventually go out.
