How to take of the front input cover on Denon Receivers

There is 3 front inputs on my Denon receiver, and there is a cover over them. I tried flicking it up but there was a lot of resistance and did not want to break it (not sure if they is how you take it off or not). I did not want to be too rough with it either. So, if anyone with a Denon receiver has one of these front input covers, help is greatly appreciated.....i feel so stupid:confused:

On my Denon 2807, the cover lifts up with a little resistance, but nothing that feels like it would break. I would just try gently lifting it up-it should have a smooth, "heavy" feel as you lift it.

Does the cover "pop" right out receiver or does it just lift up?

Mine lifts up, it does not pop "off". It's hinged and is not supposed to be physically removed from the receiver.

on the avr 688 its just a peice of plastic you pry off, Its not hinged or anything. Shouldnt be very difficult to get off.

On my 2105 it's just a plastic piece also that comes out. A little ridge on the bottom to grab and pull out. Or push in on either side and pull out from opposite.

On my 2805 (small removable cover, ~.5"x3.5") it was just a plastic piece that pulled straight off. It wasn't hinged and was held on by plastic pieces inside it gripping the rca jack. It also came completely off, so you had to set it aside and hope you didn't lose it.

On my 3808ci (large attached door, ~2"x9")) it is hinged at the bottom. To open that you just push lightly at the bottom. It will then open fully on it's own. If you pull from the top it is very difficult to open and you'll likely break something.

HTH, those are the only two types I'm familiar with for the Denon recievers.
