Whoops looks like I had it at the 1 o'clock position volume on my sub. What is the suggested vol. on the sub when running audy? 12 right?

That's just a starting point. By setting the channel value to -15, the receiver is telling you that the sub's volume is too high. Lower it and try again.

Here are my NEW scores from audyssey (Onkyo 707):

Front L/R: -5.0db, Center: -6.0, SW: -6.0b(change it to -3.0db) I turn down the volume on the M8 to 9 o'clock(actually between 9 and 10) position.I re-ran Aud 5 or times and pretty much got the same scores.

Front: 70hz(changed to 80hz THX), Center: 60HZ, SW: 120HZ

Speaker distance - Front L/R: 8.5 Ft, Center: 8.0 Ft, SW: 10 Ft.

Not sure if I like the settings volume seems low and bass vol is way down from my 1'oclock position. Any advice?

Volume seems low? Turn the volume up ;)

Audyssey sets the channel levels so that the 0 dB volume level on the receiver produces correct reference volume. So your settings should be "correct."

I mean no Boom. :) Do must people manually up the bass from what was aud gives? What setting do you have J? I know not everyone's score is Not the same just curious. I've heard +3db is the best setting for a SW.

I live in an apartment, so I actually turned mine down 2 dB from where Audyssey set it.

I have low sensitivity speakers (NHT Super series) so mine are at +1, +2, +1 across the front.

I know from reading a few aud threads that anyone who likes that big booming bass from explosions etc, usually has to boost it up a bit. Usually I just up the gain on my subs and leave the aud settings alone.

The guess that's is the solution then turn it up on the sub for the movies. Thanks guys. I'll leave it as is on the receiver. When I first did aud I did not like the settings so I set it manually to a much higher setting, but this suppose to be precise for my small studio apt. so I leave it alone, for now. :)
